Volvo CE Unveils Seven New Articulated Haulers

Volvo CE is making strides in the dumper segment, presenting seven new machines, one of which is completely new.

Volvo invited the press to a machine demonstration this week, with an international press corps present when a new series of articulated dumpers was showcased on Tuesday.

“This is Volvo’s biggest and boldest step,” stated Executive VP Melker Jernberg.

Six of the seven machines are updated favorites, according to the company, specifically the A60 (first launched in 2017), Volvo’s bestsellers A45 and A40, and the smaller A35, A30, and A25. Additionally, there is the brand new A50, a 45-tonner with full suspension.

Volvo highlighted the new, more spacious cab designed to increase comfort, and the enhanced safety features, including new steps, mirrors, lights, and cameras.

The company also emphasized the new transmission, which is designed to be compatible with future drivetrains.

“We are world leaders in dumpers, and this is a milestone for us. Our new dumpers will not weaken our position,” stated Melker Jernberg.

The dumpers will be released gradually. The A50, A40, A45, and A35 are already on the market, and after the summer, the A25, A30, and A60 will follow.
